PURPOSE OF VIDA NUEVA

Vida Nueva is a youth weekend which concentrates closely on the person and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Vida Nueva explores basic Christian beliefs to provide those who attend the weekend a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Christ as they share His love in a dynamic way.

WHAT HAPPENS ON A WEEKEND?

Vida Nueva begins Friday afternoon and ends the following Sunday evening.

The Vida Nueva team leading the weekend is composed of former attendees of Vida Nueva, Chysallis or similar youth weekends, who have volunteered their time for weeks of preparation by working and praying together as a unit.
Vida Nueva presents the basics of Christian life and the meaning of living the Christian ideal and its application in our daily lives. Vida Nueva is centered around lay and clergy talks. Each talk is discussed by table groups.
The basic atmosphere of Vida Nueva is one of love, Christian fellowship, singing, laughing and worship.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND A WEEKEND?

All young men and women from age 15 to 20 years are welcome to attend. There are separate weekends for young men and women. Each attendee must be sponsored by someone who has previously attended a Vida Nueva, Chysallis, Tres Dias or Cursillo type weekend.

THE FOURTH DAY

One's life after Vida Nueva is called the Fourth Day. Following Vida Nueva, a person is able to expand his/her own spiritual life and become a more active disciple of Jesus Christ in the world, in the Church and in their school. During this time, encouragement is important and is provided through contact with the Vida Nueva community. Reunions of smaller groups within local churches and schools are encouraged so that the participants may help one another in living the Christian life.

HOW TO SPONSOR AN ATTENDEE FOR A WEEKEND

If you have attended a Vida Nueva, Chysallis,Tres Dias or Cursillo type weekend you can sponsor someone for a weekend. Applications are available on this web site. Applications will also be available at the Tres Dias Secuelas and the Vida Nueva Gatherings. Please be in prayer as to whom you might sponsor. "There is an appointed time for everything.
